This Privacy Statement explains how brrrand ("we," "our," or "us"), a company incorporated in Belgium, processes personal data in connection with the use of the brrrand PowerPoint Add-in (the "Add-in"). brrrand is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Data We Collect​

The Add-in collects limited telemetry and log data for operational, security, and performance monitoring purposes. The data collected may include:

  • Organization identifier (tenant or domain ID)
  • License key and license validation information
  • IP address and device metadata (such as system type and version)
  • Event logs related to Add-in usage and error diagnostics

No user-generated content or presentation data is collected or stored.

4. Purpose of Processing​

Personal data collected through the Add-in is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring proper license activation and usage compliance
  • Monitoring security and preventing misuse
  • Diagnosing technical issues and improving product stability
  • Generating aggregated, non-identifiable usage metrics to improve performance

brrrand processes personal data under the following legal bases as defined in Article 6 of the GDPR:

  • Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the Customer (license agreement).
  • Processing is necessary for legitimate interests pursued by brrrand, including ensuring security, preventing misuse, and improving service reliability.

6. Data Storage and Retention​

All telemetry and log data are securely stored on servers hosted by OVH Cloud (private VPS) located in Gravelines, France (EU).
Data is retained for a maximum of 30 days and then automatically deleted or anonymized unless required for security investigations or legal obligations.

7. Data Sharing and Processors​

brrrand does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. Access to collected data is strictly limited to authorized personnel and processors acting on behalf of brrrand.

The following data processors are used to host and process data:

  • OVH Cloud – Infrastructure hosting provider (France, EU)
  • Private VPS managed by brrrand – Secure application and telemetry processing environment

All processors act under written data processing agreements in compliance with Article 28 of the GDPR.

8. International Data Transfers​

brrrand does not transfer personal data outside the European Union. All data is stored and processed within the EU.

9. Data Subject Rights​

Under the GDPR, individuals have the right to:

  • Request access to their personal data
  • Request correction or deletion of their data
  • Request restriction or objection to processing
  • Request data portability

brrrand will respond to all valid requests within the timelines prescribed by the GDPR.

10. Data Security​

brrrand implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
These measures include encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and periodic security audits of hosting environments.

11. Changes to This Privacy Statement​

brrrand may update this Privacy Statement from time to time to reflect changes in processing activities or legal requirements.
Updates will be posted or otherwise communicated to Customers, with the date of the latest revision clearly indicated at the top of the document.
